Florence Youth Baseball League

Registration: is $35.00 fee plus cost of uniform (the cost of uniforms varies and is determined by the individual teams). May 1st the age control date. Register online at

Spring Season:  Registration starts in January.  Individual signups.  Players will be divided into teams after an evaluation by the Park and Rec staff and coaches.  Age divisions will the following:

Ages 3-12 (CAL RIPKEN)

  • 3 - 4 Year Old T-Ball
  • 5 - 6 Year Coach Pitch
  • 7 - 8 Year Old Machine Pitch
  • 9 - 10 Year Old Player Pitch
  • 11 - 12 Year Old Player Pitch (70 ft. Bases & 50 ft Pitching)

Ages 13-18 (BABE RUTH) - if enough interest (games will not start til May/June)

  •  13-14 Year old
  •  15-16 Year old
  •  17-18 Year old

Coaching Info:  All coaches must pass a background check to be allowed to coach.  All coaches and assistants coaches must have Concussion Training and supply Park & Rec with a Concussion Training Certificate.  Coaches can find Concussion Training info at:

This League was organized for the purpose of developing, promoting and operating a youth baseball and softball program in affiliation with a national organization.  The objective of Florence Youth Baseball & Softball is to establish the following as its goal through a supervised, balanced youth baseball and softball program.

 Florence Youth Baseball & Softball will seek to implement in the youth of the community ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and reverence so they may be finer, stronger, and happier youth who will grow to be good, clean, healthy adults.  Consistent with the foregoing of Florence Youth Baseball & Softball is to provide its participates with a wholesome environment in which to compete and play baseball and softball, free from inappropriate conduct and behavior by players, coaches, parents, umpires, and other attendees.

In this regard, Florence Youth Baseball & Softball adopts the following as its sportsmanship code:

*Develop a strong, clean, healthy, body, mind, and soul.
*Develop a strong desire for sportsman-like conduct.
*Develop an understanding of and respect of the Rules.
*Develop courage in defeat, tolerance, and modesty in victory.
*Develop control over emotion and speech.
*Develop a spirit of cooperation and team play.
*Develop into Real, True CITIZENS.
